Aug 05, 2015 If anyone else has the problem, you have to create a shortcut in the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive directing Omnisphere toward the STEAM folder on your external drive! Create a shortcut to the STEAM folder and move this shortcut to C: ProgramData Spectrasonics. Also don't forget to rename it to 'STEAM' instead of 'STEAM - Shortcut'! Jul 20, 2019 I've done the permissions reset as described in the Apple Support article, but am still getting the same set of errors: 1. The STEAM folder does not have write permission. Change permissions on STEAM folder, and all STEAM subfolders, to include Write access. STEAM folder is not. Such permissions are inherited from the folder in which the file/folder is stored, and not set explicitly. To break the inheritance chain, you have to, in the Security Tab, click ‘Advanced’ in the ‘Advanced Security Settings’ box, then click Edit and finally clear ‘Include Inheritable Permissions From Objects Parent’. I have 3 internal HDs that are in good health. Really irritating. Going to try unchecking the read only thing on the steam folders and see if that clears things up. Sep 20, 2015 Go in your Steam folder, steamapps folder, then the common folder. Find the game, right-click the.exe then run as admin. You can also make a shortcut to desktop if you have to do it everytime. I'm sure there is sort of command you can put into steam when you launch said game, but I don't know it.
